    1. Cooperative federalism means that Centre and State cooperate with each other to achieve common goals. Here, states play a greater role in decision-making. The new Niti Aayog is a step towards that.

      Competitive federalism means that States compete among each other for resources, such as investment. The smart cities initiative is going to adopt this model.
